Coursen Family Portrait

Pastor Coursen became a born-again believer in Christ as the age of ten in a Baptist church in Flint, Michigan in 1962. His burden for youth led him to surrender for ministry as a young person. He studied for vocational ministry at Bob Jones University in South Carolina, Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Wisconsin and Detroit Baptist Seminary. He pastored in Michigan for 21 years before coming to Sedro-Woolley in June of 2000.

His wife, Carol was saved as a young girl at Bethany Baptist Church in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

She also attended Bob Jones University and Maranatha Baptist Bible College, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Church Ministries. She serves in ladies' and children's ministries.

The Coursens have three children and six grandchildren.
